Rec Room – Cineplex Royalmount (2024)

The Rec Room is a new social playground where guests can eat, drink and play. It’s a first-of-its-kind arcade, restauration & entertainment concept, and it’s also the first location in Quebec. This new destination offers premium entertainment in the brand new Royalmount district of Montreal.

It’s a 40,000 square feet project on 2 floors with an extraordinary design. The arcade sections are covered with Mohawk carpet. A vibrant colour choice with uncompromising durability via Duracolor fiber. For the bar and dining area, an arrangement of different Mohawk vinyl planks brings a vivid and friendly character through insertions of different colours and changes in installation patterns. For VIP cinema rooms, a Tarkett carpet with a subtle texture remind the luxurious character of the place.

The project was also achieved with a very tight schedule and slab levelling challenges to which Mapei products were able to perform well.
